Who Needs to Be Certified in Nova Scotia?
Nova Scotian restaurants and food-related businesses or organizations are required to employ individuals who have earned their food handler’s certificate in Nova Scotia, as stipulated in section 28 of the province’s Food Safety Regulations. There must be a certified individual on the premises of any food-related business, whether it is the operator of the business or a lower-level employee. Inspections can happen at any time, so be prepared and you’ll avoid paying fines, losing your permit, and tarnishing your business’ reputation.
Our food safety training in-class sessions provide the knowledge novices and professionals need to run a respectable business. If five or more of your employees sign up for our courses, our team will go to you for convenience. All of our courses are taught by a certified public health inspector.
